General
Multiwave 5000 for Albany, CA
Background / Work to be performed
The Wheat Genetics Lab at Crop Improvement and Genetics Research Unit, Western Regional Research Center, is looking for a microwave digestor that can handle up to 40 samples at a time but has the flexibility to do as few as 4 at a time. We need the device to digest samples up to 0.5g in under a hour with preloaded methods for plant tissues digested with nitric acid. The microwave digestor allows us to analyze plant tissues for their mineral contents to understand how to better grow crops under increased salinity.
Review of Deliverables
• At least 2000 W microwave power- in unpulsed mode
• An IR temperature sensor - for contact-free temperature measurement of all kinds of vessels
• Cooling unit – fast vessel cooling for high throughput
• Method library with more than 500 included methods
• SmartLink – remote control for easy connection with your mobile phone or notebook
• SmartLight – time saving visual interaction
• High safety standards – fluoropolymer coated cavity, resealing safety door, corrosion resistant exhaust unit, software interlocks.
• Include a rotor with 24 vessels.
