Benchtop extruder with multiple temperature zones for 3D printing filament

REQUIREMENTS

• Benchtop extruder with extrusion rate over 4.5kg per hour based on PLA.

• Temperature Control: At least 4 independently controlled heat zones, all with active fan cooling for consistent heating

• Screw Void – Less than 40 cubic cm

• 0-100rpm Speed Control

• Screw length: >16”

• Other screws must be available for future work that might require different properties (i.e. more blending, more compression, etc.)

• Extrusion Pressure: >350 psi

• Must have demonstrated performance using common polymers (i.e. PLA, ABS, PETG) and be able to provide instrument settings that are used to successfully extrude these materials

• Required accessories: filament air-cooler, filament spooler, and inline filament measurement system (to ensure consistent diameter)
