Specifications
A machine is needed that can automatically count seeds, place the seeds in envelopes and can be easily cleaned between genetic lines. We intend to use this counter for treated seed and will operate under a chemical exhaust hood therefore the size of the machine must fit within +/- 1” of 16" (L) x 16" (W) x 16" (H). At least two envelopes must be able to be placed in the seed counter at a single time, so the operator does not need to start and stop the machine for each envelope. We will count seed of dry beans and other pulse, which can range in size from 13 mm (Navy), 15 mm (Pinto) to 24 mm (Great Northern). This is specialized machinery for field research and few companies make this type of equipment. Below are some specifications.

1) Compact dimensions within +/- 1” of 16" (L) x 16" (W) x 16" (H).
2) Single control and counting unit.
3) Capable of counting seed ranging in size from 13-25 mm and of varying shape.
4) Accurate within at least 1%.
5) Electric motor 110V/60HZ
6) Can be loaded with multiple “coin” envelopes - at least 2.
7) Bag/envelope detection sensor.
8) Capable of counting samples of between 50 – 1000 seeds.
9) Shallow bowl/hopper for easy cleaning between samples.
