Specifications for Gas Chromatograph with Flame Ionization Detector System- One (1) GC equipped with one (1) split/splitless injection unit, one (1) flame ionization detector (FID), and a built-in real time hydrogen detector. An autoinjector with 30 vial capacity in a single tray, computer, and software to control the instrument and process data. Necessary consumables to set up and test the system. System installation by the vendor and a minimum of a 1 year warranty.
GC
The GC must have a temperature range of room temperature + 4°C to 450°C.
The GC must be equipped with an oven light.
The GC must be able to control the carrier flow in Constant Linear Velocity.
The GC must be able to install up to four detectors simultaneously and they must be individually temperature controlled.
The GC column flow control must be electronically settable from the software or GC keypad.
Injector The split/splitless injector must have a temperature range of room temperature + 5°C to 450°C and a pressure setting range of 0 to 1035 kPa.
The split/splitless injector must have a split ratio setting range: 0 to 9999.9, and a total flow rate setting range of 0 to 1200 mL/min.
The split/splitless injector must be able to keep the column average linear velocity constant while temperature is increasing.
FID
The flame ionization detector must have a temperature range up to 450°C and a minimum detected quantity of 1.2 pgC/s of dodecane.
The flame ionization detector must have a dynamic range of 107.
Autoinjector Equipped with space for thirty (30) samples vials and wash and waste vials.
Peak area repeatability: <0.3% RSD Injector repeatability: <1.0% RSD Supported syringe sizes: 0.5 µL, 5 µL, 10 µL, 50 µL, 250 µL Minimum sample injection: 10 nL (0.5 µL syringe) Maximum sample injection: 200 µL (250 µL syringe)
Software/Control The GC must have the ability to access remotely from a mobile device to monitor run state, review chromatograms and launch a batch.
For data acquisition, the GC must have a 4 ms minimum sampling time.
For data processing and analysis, the GC software must allow for peak integration manipulation, identification (support multiple relative retention times and grouping), quantitation (percentage area method, corrected percentage area method, internal standard method, external standard method, standard addition method, index calculation, manual coefficient input), calibration points and levels, manual calibration curve creation, column performance calibration, and data comparison functions.
