1. Where is the site location This is in the vicinity of Cave Creek. In our Recreation area called Needle Rock along the Verde River. Use Google Maps for Needle Rock and you will find it.
1. What vegetation removal if any is required? Are the trees and bushes in the area of work considered the debris?
Only vegetation removal for debris and anything growing in the alignment of the pipe rail when it is reinstalled.
1. Wil there need to be any site grading? More specifically where the new access area is going to be and where the rail near the entrance is being removed?
Site grading only to the affect to not leave any holes or mounds created during the removal and installation process.
1. Will the parking lot be closed during construction time frame of project?
The parking lot will be closed during the project but will hopefully only take a week for each phase so it can be open on weekends.
1. Is there any fire or hot work permits needed for any onsite welding or cutting?
The tonto fire plan requires there to be a fire “kit” and water since you are welding. I will have to confirm if we are in fire restrictions when the project starts too.
1. When dealing with any potential water encounters during drilling of post footings will we be allowed to dewater as we pour concrete? Allowing for it to push its self out?
Yes you can dewater if necessary.
1. Is there any access to a water source on or near site we can use?
Water from the river is not able to be used for construction purposes.
1. In regards to solicitation number: 12818019Q0003 is the only scope of work asking to be performed stated on pages 2 (tasks1,2,and3) and page 3 (section a and b) which is demolition of pipe rail and pipe rail fence installation? Because on page 14 there is mention of Removal of toilet. Just want to make sure that the RFQ is only for the pipe rail and beach rail.
Only the items listed (see chart below) are to be bid on, there is not a toilet to be removed however, the removal of any debris that is in the way would be included.
