QUESTIONS DURING SOLICITATION PHASE:

During the solicitation phase several questions were raised. Each question and answer is provided below:

1. Does the grainery have a concrete floor?

Answer: Yes.

2. Has asbestos, hantavirus and lead based paint testing been done at these sites?

Answer: We are not aware that any testing has been done. This will need to be done by the contractor.

3. What is the anticipated start date for the decommissiong?

Answer: West Muddy will need to be cleaned out before work can begin on that site.

4. Can a prime sub out the hazardous removal work to a certified contractor?

Answer: Yes remediation work can be subbed out. Your subcontractor should be working under the same clauses and terms you are.

5. Will Performance and Payment Bonds be required for this project?

Answer: Refer to page 10 of the Solicitation. All contract values between $35,000 and $150,000 will require a Payment Bond.

OTHER INFORMATION

Vendors should pay special attention to Sections L and M of the solicitation and the date and time responses are due.

CHANGES TO CONTRACT PACKAGE

Attachment 1 – Specifications Remove all reference to the Paint Storage Shed, Erosion Control and Seeding

· Page 1 – Removed reference to Section 020100 – Seeding and Section 023000 – Erosion Control

· Page 2 – 1.03 Removed Asbestos and lead based paint testing have been performed at these sites. See attached test results.

· Page 4 – Removed 1.06 Seed

· Page 9-10 – Section 020100 – Seeding and renumbered pages.
