1. Where will the work be located? On the Grand Mesa or more on the Paonia/Electric Mountain side.
Answer: Work will be on the Grand Valley and Paonia Ranger Districts.
2. Why are there so many bonds required?
Answer: Because the task orders could be over $150,000 there were more bonds required. That has been changed and no task order will exceed $150,000. Only Payment Bonds will be required.
3. Since this is a Multiple Award Contract, will the contractors bid against each other for Task Orders?
Answer: Yes, Task orders will be bid on by the winning contractor(s).
4. How does the mobilization work?
Answer: A line item for mobilization will be added back into the Schedule of Items. Mobilization will be paid to the job site one way per task order.

7. Who is authorized to shut down a contractor during a project?
Answer: Only the Contracting Officer or someone designated by the Contracting Officer has the authority to shut down a contractor. All persons designated by the Contracting Officer should have a signed designation letter.
8. Explain the 15101 “power minimum or equivalent” on equipment Answer: Based on the project and work expected, we will attempt to list the equipment or equivalent that will be needed for the project to make it simpler on the contractor. Anything above that make and model is acceptable as long as you are not doing resource damage because it is too large for the job. Whatever equipment is needed to do the job.
9. Under 15801 dust control – watering for dust control – what does that entail.
Answer: Dust control would entail delivering a full truck of water. We would pay for the full truck. Normally we would provide a water source to use, but on rare occasions it may need to be brought from town. Dust control will only be rarely used.
10. What does 20101 removing vegetation 6” or greater include?
Answer: Our preference is that it be mulched. Each Task Order will have details and drawing on what is needed. If the requirement is logging out, trees will be painted. 11. When will the bond be required? Does it need to be paid at the time of Task Order award even if the Task Order period of performance will not start for a while?
Answer: The Payment Bond will be required on each Task Order over $30,000. It will be required 10 days before the Period of Performance starting date on each Task Order.
12. Will we be required to wash equipment every time we change zones or areas?
Answer: If you are working in an area and the equipment is not leaving the Forest you may not be required to wash the equipment if the area you are working in does not have noxious weed issues. The equipment must be washed if it is moving to a new Task Order or off the Forest to a different location. Equipment can be washed on site at the CORs discretion. Washing of equipment is to avoid the spread of noxious weeds, so check with your COR before moving equipment prior to washing or washing equipment on site.
