Q&A: 1282A725Q0024
Would you be willing to accept two separate refrigeration units, with the specifications stated in the SOW, but one would be 72", and the other would be 36"?
Two separate units will not meet the requirement. One unit is required.
Confirm the minimum total of full size (12x20) Hotel pans you need for the top of the counter to accommodate.
A minimum of six 12" x 20" pans.
Do you need the round cut outs that are currently on the end of the top of the existing counter? And are those cut outs needed on both ends?
Cut-outs are not required.
Please also confirm if you want lighting under the sneezeguard.
Lighting under the sneezeguard is not a requirement.
The manufacturer has some questions that need to be clarified to proceed with your requirement. Refer base? Pass-thru style? How many 1/6 pans? Night cover or no night cover?
This unit will need to have a refrigerated base, pass-thru style, a minimum accommodation of six 12" x 20" pans (on top counter), and it is not required to have a night cover.
For the drop in’s can you tell me how many condiment pans you need as I can’t tell by the image and how many of the other drop in’s as well.
We can pretty much add what customer would like. Just tell us what they want for drop in’s , if they want soup wells, ice pan etc. We need sizes as well so we can make sure what they want added will fit.
For the condiments we have ice pans with qty 10 1/9 pans. This is what we offer as a standard. If they want a different size please let us know.
This unit will need a minimum accommodation of six 12" x 20" pans (on top counter).
Soup pans are not required. No ice pans (refrigeration only).
We would like to offer you this model or a brand new salad bar of the same model you provided in the pdf. Could you please let us know if you would prefer the exact same unit or if you are open to considering the referred model?
There is no preference for a brand or model.
Does this unit need to be remote, or will the condenser be fitted to the roof of the building?
This will be a single unit. There will be no separate condenser.
Could you provide the make and model number of the current salad bar being used at the facility? Additionally, if available, could you share the vendor or brand that supplied the existing unit? This information will help me ensure I propose a solution that aligns with the center’s needs.
There is no preference for a brand or model. The center is seeking a replacement unit that meets the requirements provided in the solicitation.
Is there an incumbent contractor for this solicitation? If so, could you provide any relevant details about the previous contract, such as the awarded vendor or contract value?
The information regarding the previous purchase is unknown.
I just wanted to know if there is any flexibility for the finish of the Salad/Buffet Bar? I know the specification asks for a stainless-steel frame and finish; however, I found the exact same model as the picture provided in the solicitation only it has a brass frame finish.
The unit requires a stainless steel frame and finish.
We have contacted several companies to obtain a quote. It appears that this particular model or style has been discontinue or replaced with another model that is more streamline and shorter in length size. In the specifications the minimum table length is 96" inches. Will you accept one 60" inch length and one 36" inch salad bar/buffet table.
both buffet tables side by side same model, stainless steel, and both tables have the extract same specifications. Also, this refrigerated unit has added durability, rust resistance, and a total up to date sleek appearance for any establishments.
The unit requires a 96-inch length.
The Current units comes with a warranty that covers ( 2-3 years for parts depending on the part and 5 years for the compressor). Is this acceptable?
No, A minimum of 5 years parts and labor is required.
Does it need to have wheels?
Yes.
Any specific material, stainless steel, plastic, etc.?
How flexible are you about the design of the bar? I reviewed the image of the bar that is being replaced and noticed the food section is central and parallel with the length of the bar and that the condiments and utensils are placed on the opposite sides of the bar along the width (shorter side). The image I received from a manufacturer has access to food in the center along the length and width (shorter side). Will that matter?
We need tray rails down both sides also the bowl/plate area on the end.
Your picture shows enclosed areas underneath. Must that area be enclosed or can it remain open?
Closed only due to the refrigeration unit.
Can the rail surround the entire bar?
Yes but full length of both sides minimum.
The picture you provided is brown beneath. Do you want it all stainless steel? or will a brown covering be acceptable?
In addition, can you provide me with a tax exemption letter to use for this purchase?
The awardee can be provided a tax exemption letter upon request.
Will you need a tutorial for the device?
No
