About this file
This file is a Questions and Answers document for the GAOA Mesa Fall Furnace Replacement contract (CTNF 127EAX26Q0047).
The Government seeks replacement of an electric furnace with a capacity of 21.6/28.8 kW. Key specifications clarifications include: ASHRAE 193 (not AHRI 193) is the correct standard; AHRI 430 compliance requirements are disregarded; and the unit should be an electric furnace without an evaporator coil for future air conditioning. The offer due date and time is August 27, 2026 at 3:00 PM MDT. Offerors must price CLIN 0001 only, as FAR 52.217-8 is not included in the solicitation. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The existing furnace dimensions are 35 x 22 x 24.5 inches, and the electrical flex conduit size is 2 inches. The building is vacant during the 4-week equipment lead time, and no other heat sources are available. Air filters must follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the newly installed unit. The electrical panel contains a 200-amp unfused disconnect connected to three 50-amp breakers integrated into the unit, which can accommodate a 25 kW heat kit. The document does not address furnace mounting method discrepancies or existing cooling system details, leaving those questions unanswered.
