About this file

This is a Certified Testing Report from AirWell documenting asbestos and lead paint sampling and analysis for the Santa Fe National Forest at Jacks Creek Campground in Pecos, NM. On May 5, 2023, inspector Andres Baca conducted limited sampling of suspect materials in areas potentially impacted by renovation or restoration activities. The samples were transported to AirWell's facility in Albuquerque and then shipped to EMSL Analytical, Inc., an NLLAP & NVLAP Accredited Laboratory in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, for EPA-approved analysis.

The testing results revealed no asbestos in the sampled materials. A paint sample collected from the east composting toilet door was tested for lead and found to be well below the action level, with a lead content of less than 460 ppm (compared to the 5,000 ppm action level). The report recommends that any untested suspect materials should not be disturbed until they are properly sampled and analyzed, with their condition evaluated. The project number is FS-23-489-0505, and the work order number is A64092.
