Statement of Work USFS Coffee Creek Station
Heat Pump/Condenser and Air Handler Replacement
1.0 - Scope of Work
The purpose of this project is to replace the existing outdoor heat pump and interior air handler at the Coffee Creek Fire Engine Office with a new 14 SEER heat pump/condenser and interior air handler. The outdoor unit is very old and has developed a hole and will develop more from rub spots in the bottom of the coil. This is due to age, vibration, and from snow accumulating on top of the unit.
The existing condenser/heat pump currently sits below a roof valley on the stations metal roof that receives a large amount of snow during Winter months. The intent of this unit replacement will be to move approximately 10 feet away from the roof line, out into the yard. This will eliminate snow buildup originating from the roof.
Note all new systems shall be of the same manufacturer or as recommended by manufacturer for system compatibility and warranty purposes.
Contractor shall furnish all material, labor, equipment, and transportation as required to accomplish the repairs. All demolition, disposal, and repairs described herein, for bringing the unit back into service are the responsibility of the Contractor.

c. Furnish and install new 3-ton 14 SEER air handler unit and all new necessary electrical conductors, conduits and connectors, all new refrigerant lines and couplers and insulating equipment to connect with existing system supply and return lines and electrical systems as required for a complete and operational system.

Also, new control wiring shall be extended to new unit location and all connections made. All materials, installation and connections shall be meet current electrical and mechanical code requirements.
e. New copper line tubing and insulation extensions shall be connected to the existing refrigerant tubing from the building to the unit and shall be installed in 4-inch dia. galvanized steel conduit, approximately 10 feet in length (adjust as necessary to meet intent), to eliminate any damage that could be caused by exposure to external impacts (walking, lawn equipment, etc.). Furnish and charge with all new refrigerant materials (throughout building refrigerant system) and test for leaks, function and full system operation.
f. Provide one (1) year installation labor and materials warranty; and five (5) year manufacturer warranty on heat pump condenser equipment.
