About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for the La Jara Riparian Restoration project, Solicitation No. 127EAV25Q0047. The Q&A addresses two specific questions from potential contractors: first, about the color and type of barrier rocks to be used, with the response indicating that photos of native rock and surrounding landscape are provided on Page 2; second, regarding work in water or stream bed areas, with the response clarifying that no direct water work is anticipated, though contractors may work close to the stream and in wet riparian areas if the boulder placement option is awarded. The document provides visual references of the local terrain, rock formations, and landscape characteristics through four photographs showing different angles and perspectives of the project site.

Solicitation No. 127EAV25Q0047

1. In section " I. Scope of Work", it is stated that "color shall be such that the barrier rocks closely match the existing terrain.” Do you have any examples or guidelines of rock or color that is preferred or acceptable as it relates to the landscape?

RESPONSE: Photos of native rock and surrounding landscape are included on Page 2 of this response document.

2. In section "VI Landscape Preparation", there is mention of "sediment laden water". Is there any anticipation of the contractor needing to work in the water or stream bed?

It is not noted in the plans.

RESPONSE: There is no anticipation that the contractor will work in water or the stream bed. If the option item for boulder placement is awarded the contractor will be working very close to the stream and potentially in wet riparian areas.
