Questions - 127EAV24Q0065 - 80MTN Fence

1. SOW says fence is 1.5 miles but the SOI says 2 miles, are we will bidding 2 miles?

2 miles of fence

2. It states in one place that the government is supplying fence materials, and in another for the contractor to supply materials? Can you clarify this please?

The contractor will supply all materials required for the fence.

3. (Duplicate question from another contractor) It also states a mile and a half of fence in one spot on the RFQ, and in another spot it says 2 miles of fence? Can you clarify please?

The fence line is closer to 2 miles, so we will have them bid on the 2 miles.

4. RFQ doesn’t list a site visit, is that correct?

Yes. However, a site visit can arrange on an as needed basis.

5. Do you have an estimated distance from the closest point you can get vehicle access to the fence?

The closest access to the fence on the east side of the fence line will be off the Little Walnut Rd 1-53 and from there the fence line is 400ft from the cattle guard. On the west side of the fence there is a road 4083D which can be used to reach the fence line on that end and that will take you right to the fence.

6. On the Gila 80 fence project is there no access to the fence line for equipment to install or remove fence? Is there a map of the location?

No – fence has to be built by hand – there is no way to get equipment into the area – you can get to the fence to drop off wire and materials but have to move stuff by hand or maybe parts could be accessible by a UTV, but most of it has to be carried in – the fence was not cleared for mechanical building or treatment, only hand tools.
