REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) OFFICIAL RESPONSES
127EAT24Q0065 Amendment A0001 – San Jacinto Ranger District Janitorial Services
RFI #1 – What is the total square feet for tile and carpet cleaning service
USFS Response – Main Building -- 2400 Square Foot. Total Usable Space (excluding storage rooms).
NOTE: The Government will not be responsible for any error or variation in the square footage listed above nor will Contractor, because of an error or variation in footage listed, be relieved of his responsibility to carry out the contract in accordance with the true intent and meaning of the specifications without additional cost to the Government.
RFI #2 – Can you clarify the morning hours if contract work is done in the morning?
USFS Response - Most personnel arrive at the office around 8:00 AM, and business hours for the visitor center are 8:00 until 4:00. So performance under the contract could take place between 5:00AM and 8:00 AM.
RFI #3 – Interior cleaning of the Refrigerator?
USFS Response – Since the contract does not mention the interior; cleaning of the refrigerator is not included in the requirements.
RFI #4 – Weather related question
USFS Response – Do not expect vendors or want contractors showing up to clean in inclement weather; I would be fine with contract work being rescheduling, within a day or two would be acceptable. Trash cans and vacuuming isn’t worth a contractor needing to drive after dark in snow / ice conditions during a snowstorm.
RFI #5 – 1. Does the Government provide the bio based cleaning supplies?
USFS Response – No – consumable cleaning products are at the cost / preference of the contractor.
The Government will provide the following…
2.01 Supplies, Materials, Tools and Equipment
The Government shall furnish all paper supplies, materials, tools and basic cleaning equipment necessary to perform the custodial services specified herein unless otherwise noted. Contractor shall notify COR if paper supplies are low or need to be reordered.
Materials provided by the Government shall meet or exceed the quality of the items indicated by the following Federal Specification:
A. Trash Can Liners —Shall be polyethylene, 3 mil minimum.
B. Toilet Tissue — Fed. Spec., UU-P-556 C. Paper Hand Towel — Fed. Spec., UU-T-591 D. Liquid Soap — Fed. Spec., P-S-62 E. Urinal Deodorant — Fed. Spec., P-D-215, with rubber/plastic stopper
RFI #6 – How many bathrooms
USFS Response – There are 4 bathrooms total. Two are available to the general public in the hallway near the front office – these (2) are a uni-sex single stall with trash can, sink, and standard toilet.
There are two restrooms in the back. Women’s restroom has a standard vanity sink, and two toilet stalls, men’s has a standard vanity sink, with one toilet stall and one urinal.
RFI #7 – How many bathroom stalls, if any?
USFS Response – See RFI #6.
RFI #8 – Is there only 1 breakroom with a kitchenette or a full kitchen?
USFS Response - There is one break room. It has a fridge, coffee maker / hot plate (rarely used), sink, trash and recyclables, and 4 small tables / 8 chairs.
RFI #9 - What specialized equipment will be provided by the government, and what equipment must the contractor supply?
USFS Response - Government provided equipment includes a vacuum, rolling mop-bucket and mop, and a janitorial cart.
