About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a proposed Cel-Fi Quatra 1000 Hybrid Active Distributed Antenna System project. The project requires Cel-Fi Quatra 1000 network units and coverage units to boost FirstNet and Verizon cellular signals across the campus. Fiber range extenders are also needed to distribute the signal via existing homerun fiber runs. The questions address confirming connector types for cables as N-Male crimp connectors, and that the required antennas are QMA-male to N-Female adapters, with two adapters needed per network unit and six network units required. The related federal contract opportunity is from the Department of Agriculture Forest Service for the Cel-Fi Quatra 1000 DAS to boost off-air cellular radio frequencies across the specified campus location.

Questions and Answers
Question: The Cel-Fi Quatra 1000 is no longer manufactured and has been discontinued. Can the project be redesigned with the Quatra 4000?
Answer: The FirstNet cellular network(FN)/band is only feasible with the Quatra 1000 Line of products. The Quatra 4000 provides single-carrier boosting of multiple carriers but not of FirstNet which is planned for on this site. Verizon and FirstNet are the two carriers to be boosted.
Question: In discussions with Nextivity (Cel-Fi), we have identified the product requested is no longer manufactured. While some distributors have the Network Units and Coverage Units in inventory, there do not seem to be ANY Fiber Range Extender units to be had from either Nextivity (the manufacturer) or ANY of their distributors. Can we propose an alternative configuration?
Answer: Due to the infrastructure of the campus' interconnectivity being homerun Fiber runs, the Fiber Range Extenders, (FREs)are a crucial part of the build for this project.
Fiber is required to distribute the signal across the campus.
Question: For line item #12 can you confirm the connector types that are needed on these cables?
Answer: N-Male crimp connectors
Question: For line item #8 can you confirm if the attached is the proper antenna? I ask b/c it seems alot for this application.
Answer: QMA-male to N-Female adapters is 2 per network unit for 6 network units for a total of 12 adapters.
