SEE BELOW FOR QUESTIONS AND GOVERNMENT RESPONSES.

1. Can you please clarify if in fact this will be a weekly required service for all locations. If not, what frequency will these services be needed and how much notice are we given?

Answer: Most service visits will be dictated by the needs of each ranger district. Generally, services are needed three to four times per week on pre-determined, scheduled days. Cleaning visits usually take approximately 30 minutes per toilet to clean.

2. What time frame does cleaning company have to clean all locations, for example does it have to be done in the span of 2-3 days?

Answer: Cleaning is to be done on the days pre-determined by each ranger district between the hours of 0700-1800. If it is on an ‘on-call’ basis, work usually is expected within 48 hours of notice.

3. Are you able to provide a general scope for the ‘extra janitorial services’ that may be needed at certain times?

Answer: Sometimes we may need to have an extra cleaning days due to unexpected circumstances with higher-than-normal volume of people or events during the summer months. Some facilities may open or close earlier or later due to weather conditions.

4. Is there a mandatory walk-through?

Answer: No, but if you do request a site visit, we can accommodate.

5. I carefully review the solicitation and I can’t find the toilet cleaning frequency.

Answer: The frequency depends on each district’s needs for cleaning. For example, Pacific Ranger District has a calendar of scheduled days for each toilet to be cleaned. Usually, the toilets will need to be cleaned 3-4 times each week during June, July and August, and each facility is staggered so not all need to be cleaned on the same days.

6. Are you looking for a price per cleaning for each location of which each location could have a minimum of one clean per week and up to several times per week OR is pricing a flat rate per location with essentially as many cleans as needed?

Answer: Generally, there is a flat rate charged per number of toilets that are pre-determined. This rate per toilet stays the same for the course of the contract year.

7. For the once a week cleaning, are we going to be told what day to perform the services or will we be able to set the schedule and provide the contracting officer with our schedule?

Answer: No, generally the cleaning days will be determined by each ranger district in advance.

8. Are we able to perform these services on weekends?

Answer: Yes, the work may be performed on weekends. Use is down during the mornings and use is heaviest in the afternoons.

9. For locations that will require more than one cleaning per week, how will we be notified that another cleaning is needed?

Answer: That will be determined by each ranger district according to the cleaning needs. The district COR or Recreation Management Officer can better determine the needs.

10. After we’ve been notified, how long do we have to perform the additional cleaning?

Answer: Work must be performed within 48 hours of receiving the request.

Correction on Schedule of Items:

Loon Undeveloped Boat Launch shows only 1 toilet. It actually is 1 building but 2 toilets, not 1.

Upper Silver Creek DUA shows 1 toilet. There is 1 building but 2 toilets. Southfork Campground shows 4 toilets. It is actually 3 separate buildings and 1 toilet each, for a total of 3 toilets, not 4.
