12639525Q0035 Responses to Questions Received by the Government

The following questions were received by the government prior to the question deadline.

The government responses are in red.

Are there any graphics or specific exterior color requirements?

No graphics or exterior color requirements.

The cabinets required have dimensions of 40"W x 15.25"H x 13.25"D cabinets on lower half lining interior that will double as counter space. This is the dimension of our standard overhead cabinets. Our base cabinets have a height of 40". Can you please verify the height of the base cabinets?

Base cabinets are what we are looking for. We want the cabinets to double as a countertop. 40" is good.

Can you please specify "lining interior?

Lining the span of the length of the trailer on ONE side. Cabinet and countertop must be stainless steel for disinfecting purposes.

Would you like the cabinets down both walls and across the front wall of the interior of the trailer?

Just the roadside wall There is no specification on the axle requirement. The solicitation states "Tandem axle". Will you please specify the axle size requirement?

Whatever size is needed to ensure that the trailer can handle the load properly while providing stability, control and safety during towing and when the mobile lab is in use.

There is no specification for the type of tie downs required. The solicitation states "Anchor points on floor and sidewall of trailer". Will you please specify the type of anchor points and type required? Will etrack suffice or do you prefer rope rings and d-rings and quantity for each?

We would prefer d-rings on the floor and curbside wall approximately every four feet so four on the wall and four on the floor.

There is no specification for location of "72in x 48" solid awning door w/gas shocks". Will you please specify the location (roadside, curbside)?

We are looking for a curbside exterior awning that can provide shade outside of the trailer.

There is no specification for an entry door on the trailer. Will you please specify if there is no entry door required? If an entry door is required, will you please specify the size of the door and location (roadside or curbside)?

An entry door is required on the curbside of the trailer.

There is no specification for type of shelving. The solicitation states "Shelves starting around 5'3"H and go up from there". Will you please specify the type of shelving and is this need full length along the curbside, roadside, and front wall?

Shelving attached to the roadside wall above the base cabinets starting at about 5'3" and up lining the length of the trailer A second row of shelving above that at around 6'0" would be great. Also lining the length of the trailer. As for the type, aluminum is fine.

40”W x 15.25”H x 13.25”D cabinets on lower half lining interior that will double as counter space. Are you asking for individual cabinets of this size to be lined together to span the approx. 16' interior walls - both sides? 15.25" H is really low, is this height correct? What type of material do you require for the cabinets...Aluminum, wood, stainless steel? Any countertop requirements?

We would like base cabinets to line the length of the trailer on one side (roadside wall). Cabinets and countertops must be stainless steel. Thank you for pointing out the height. 40" is a good height.

Shelves starting around 5’3”H and go up from there. Are you wanting aluminum or stainless shelving, or is wood OK?

Aluminum is preferred. Wood is not okay.

Do you require any air conditioning & heating?

No air conditioning or heating.

In addition to the rear fold-down ramp door, do you require a side entrance door?

An entry door is required on the curbside of the trailer.

72in x 48in solid awning door w/ gas jacks. Are you asking for a shadowbox like an enclosure to place, say a LED TV within this compartment, or are you wanting this door /awning to open up so there is an opening into the trailer?

No opening, other than a rear fold-down ramp and side entrance door, into the trailer is needed. We are looking for an awning that could be extended to provide shade on the exterior of the trailer.

In addition to the carbon monoxide detector, do you require the other D.O.T. equipment like smoke detector, fire extinguisher, roadside hazard triangle markers & first aid kit?

Yes, we would like all of the above.

One 8.5'W X 16'L X 7'H trailer with 7.5 kilo watt ultra-quiet diesel generator and Rhino lined is this the gen compartment or the interior flooring?

The Rhino lining is for the interior of the trailer. The generator compartment does not need to be lined.
