SAM.gov RFQ 12639524Q0080 Question and Answer Board
1. Milk Carton Stock: Could you please clarify the specific type of milk carton stock referred to in the solicitation? Are you referring to a poly laminated SBS board or another material?
A - The current trap is suggested to be fabricated of hard sized, liquid packaging grade half-gallon milk carton paperboard stock, 0.024-inch nominal thickness, and polyethylene plastic-coated on both sides. Variance from nominal thickness no greater than +0.002 inches will be tolerable. The coating is typically 0.0062 inches outside (= 9 pounds per 3,000 square feet) and 0.0012 inches inside”
We are open to different ways of meeting our specifications, and do not want to make the requirements too narrow.
2. Assembly and Shipping: Will the paper delta traps be shipped flat for assembly by the recipient, or will they be delivered pre-assembled?
A - The paper delta traps should be shipped flat for assembly by the recipient.
3. Adhesive Application: Will the adhesive rectangles used to trap insects be pre-applied by your company, or is this something the recipient will be responsible for?
A - The manufacturer is responsible for applying adhesive to the traps.
4. Additional Packaging: Are there any additional packaging requirements, such as film wrapping, to extend the shelf life and maintain the shape of the assembled traps?
A - There are no additional film wrapping requirements.
5. Dieline: If available, could you please share a 1:1 scale die line in DXF file format for reference?
A - We do not have such a file available.
6. Will solicitation RFQ# 12639524Q0080 require the twelve samples of 8 inches by 8 inches paperboard for water absorption testing?
A - This solicitation is requesting 5 samples of each color trap to be tested. There is no mention of twelve samples of 8 inches by 8 inches paperboard for water absorption testing.
According to the Program; They are asking for full trap samples, not just the paperboard. If the vendor would like to submit paperboard samples as well, that’s great but they don’t think they will have enough time to complete water absorption testing before making the contract award.
