Annual Inspections on York Chillers
Our chillers are some of these most critical pieces of equipment at the Phoenix Rearing Facility. To ensure they last their intended life span, annual 3rd party maintenance is required.
Shell and tube heat exchanging systems should be inspected yearly for build-up to help diagnose any problems prior to them becoming more severe. Without the chillers operational at the Phoenix Facility, the production areas would introduce health hazards to team members due to the outside temperature in Phoenix.
We would like a contractor to come on site and complete the annual inspection for both of our York YVWA chillers. (SNCM423270 & SNCM423240) We expect these inspections to occur in two different weeks. The set-up of the facility would allow this occur as we have some redundancy built in.
We would like the following things inspected…
• Prior to shutting the unit down, take recording and inspect for leaks that may need repair
• Replace refrigerant dryer filters
• Repair any leaks within confines of the York Chiller system
• Clean and backflush the VSD heat exchanger
• Replace Coolant
• Perform Oil Analysis on the compressor lube oil and report results to the USDA
PRF
• Clean condenser tubes and inspect.
• Clean and or replace heat exchanger tube located behind control box.
• Ensure fluids are topped off the manufacturers specifications prior to running chiller
• Run chiller and log operation.
