October. Provide collection and disposal on a call-as-needed basis the remainder of the year for all zones.

Recyclables

Bid option to provide collection and disposal of recyclables at sites in Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (except sites 25, 32 & 33) once a month May, June and bi-weekly July, August and September.

Collection not needed at site 25. Collection and disposal of recyclables of Sites 32 & 33 will be with regular

Collection Schedule below.

Bi-Weekly-End of Peak Season through October 31 - Zone 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6

Off Peak Season – Remainder of the year

Peak Season

Peak Season may start later in May dependent upon weather and frost laws in each area. Some sites may be gated and some may not open at the beginning of May, which will also delay beginning collection at these sites.

This will be determined at the beginning of each year.

During peak season, the contractor will make 1 collection trip per week to pick up garbage. The contractor may choose any weekday, Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 AM and 8:00 PM as his/her regular collection day. However, collection shall be made on a regular schedule so any given site will be collected on the same day each week. The collection day will be agreed upon between the inspector for each zone and the contractor prior to beginning the contract.

Collection and disposal at site 11 shall occur once every 2 weeks (Peak and Bi-Weekly Seasons).

Receptacles shall be deodorized after emptying at sites 2, 3, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 31, 32, 34.

Bi Weekly Season

The contractor may choose any weekday, Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 AM and 8:00 PM as his/her regular collection day. However, collection shall be made on a regular schedule so any given site will be collected on the same day each week. The collection day will be agreed upon between the inspector for each zone and the contractor prior to beginning the contract.

A special container pick-up during Off Season is most likely to be requested between April 15 and May 1 and/or between November 1 and November 30. A special container pick-up during Peak Season and Bi-Weekly Season would be requested during times of extraordinarily high or unexpected use and would be in addition to the regularly weekly or bi-weekly scheduled collection. A special container pick-up is expected to be made within 48 hours of notification of the contractor.

Solid Waste Disposal

The contractor shall dispose of the solid waste in a State Licensed Sanitary Landfill. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining permits and paying fees associated with the disposal.
