About this file
This document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the State of Montana Department of Environmental Quality for the direct haul of junk vehicles in Park County, Montana. The contract requires a contractor to provide these services on a percentage basis of the national scrap metal price of #2 bundles as quoted by the American Metals Market for the Seattle/Portland region. The IFB provides a detailed scope of work and lists the required bidder prerequisites, which include reviewing and accepting the single point of contact information, IFB specifications, contract terms and conditions, state standard terms and conditions, IFB general requirements, warranties, vendor registration, and other administrative requirements. Bids are due on August 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM MDT.
The IFB specifies that bids must be based on a percentage of the national scrap metal price rather than a price per ton. Bidders must also certify their understanding of the terms "responsive" and "responsible" in relation to the contract award. The procurement officer reserves the right to address any nonmaterial exceptions to the standard terms and conditions during contract negotiations with the awarded vendor.
