Purpose of Order: Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie is a unit of the USDA Forest Service located near Wilmington, Illinois approximately 45 miles southwest of Chicago, Illinois. The staff at Midewin are restoring prairie on a large scale. This seed order is for seed that will be broadcast during the dormant season. Planting will take place in December 2018 and January 2019. The seed is needed as soon after contract award as possible to achieve the desired planting dates and anticipated results.
All seed materials shall conform to the requirements attached to this RFQ.
The Government is aware that one provider may not be able to provide all the required seed, so multiple contracts may be awarded from this solicitation. Notify Midewin staff at least 3 weekdays before delivery. Providers may offer a price on all or a portion of the items. Breakdown costs by species.
Seed deliveries will be accepted after contract award.
Providers must include a certification of seed origin with their submission.
