About this file
The document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) from the City of Atlanta's Department of Procurement for Neptune Water Meters, specifically identified as IFB-AM-DWM-2503-1250154. The solicitation seeks to procure various Neptune water meters and replacement parts across five distinct groups: Small Neptune Water Meters, Compound Neptune Water Meters, Turbine Neptune Water Meters, Fire Service Neptune Water Meters, and Replacement Parts and Accessories. The bid covers multiple meter sizes ranging from ¾" to 12", all requiring E-Coder R900i integrated registers with specific PIT antenna lengths, and all meters and registers must be measured in cubic feet.
The bid includes specific requirements for vendors, including being a Neptune Certified distributor, providing a 15-year warranty, guaranteeing meter accuracy, and maintaining a comprehensive tracking system for meter exchanges. Pricing provisions include a default discount of 15% if not otherwise specified, and bidders must submit itemized pricing lists with trade-in discounts and complete catalogs for replacement parts. The City reserves the right to enforce late delivery penalties of 1% per day up to 5% of the total contract amount, and allows for potential annual price adjustments based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the Metropolitan Atlanta area, with increases limited to 10% of the original contract unit price.
