The project scope includes full replacement of the roof shingles and underlayment, as well as limited replacement of damaged exterior siding and trim. The contract period of performance is 90 days after the notice to proceed. A site visit is scheduled for 6/6/2024, and proposals are due by 6/20/2024. The project has a magnitude of less than $25,000, and award will be made to the lowest priced, responsible offeror. Additional details such as access routes, cell service availability, and roof deck composition are provided in the amendment.

Project Name: MORTIMER WORK CENTER ROOF REPLACEMENT & EXTERIOR REPAIRS Solicitation: 12445224B0010

Government responses are in red:

1. What days and hours are available to perform the work?

The work may be performed during normal daylight hours any day of the week. If work on weekends or holidays are needed, contract COR for accommodation.

2. What is the availability of cell service and/or landline phone service?

Cell service at the project site should be assumed to be unavailable. A land line phone is located inside the work center for 911 calls ONLY, however this line has a history of unreliability.

3. Which roads can be used to access the project area?

Highway 90 from Colletsville and Brown Mountain Beach Road from Hwy 181 are the two most commonly used routes to access the project area. The Contractor is responsible for verifying the suitability of available roads for the delivery of materials and equipment.

4. Does the existing roof have continuous decking (OSB sheets) layered above the slat sheathing visible from inside the attic?

The Contractor shall assume that no additional layer of decking exists above the slat sheathing visible from inside the attic. Shingles shall be installed per manufacturer’s recommendations for securely nailing all shingle courses to roof deck.
