About this file

This document is an amendment (SF30) to a solicitation (12445224B0003) for drilling groundwater monitoring wells in Durham County, North Carolina. The purpose of the amendment is to provide responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) submitted by potential bidders. The key details are:

The project involves installing nine ~4-inch diameter groundwater monitoring wells across three forested watersheds. The period of performance is 30 days after the notice to proceed. A site visit is scheduled for 04/16/2024, and RFIs are due by 04/19/2024. Proposals will be emailed, and the bid opening is on 05/01/2024. The solicitation will be awarded to the lowest priced, responsive and responsible offeror. The amendment clarifies that the government will provide the well screens, risers, end caps, and locking caps, but the contractor must provide the sand and bentonite chips. No well stick-ups, concrete pads, or soil containment drums are required, and no borehole sampling is needed during drilling.
