EYNF Pest Control Maintenance Solicitation #: 12445021Q0008 Amendment 01
Questions & Answers
1) Section B.2 ask for the termite, bed bug and fumigation services to be included in the monthly services, this is usually considered specialize services and as such are quoted separated and as per needed and not as part of monthly service contracts. Since these services can range from $300.00 to $30,000.00 per occurrence, I ask if this can be removed from the monthly service so we can provide the government with a more accurate quote.
Answer: See Amendment 0001 removing any mention of termites and bed bugs. Pest control requirement only for rats/rodents and fumigation services for roaches on a monthly basis.
2) There were some doubts during the site visit to whether the services were to be performed only in the exterior of the buildings or in the interior and exterior, can you please clarify this for us.
Answer: See SOW, 1.1 Principal Work Areas, page 33 of 53, for square footage by location.
Work is located inside and outside of buildings. No parking, no sites, no trails, nor other except those locations mentioned in 1.1 of the SOW.
3) What is the ideal time and day to perform the service?
Answer: See SOW, 5.0 Hours of Operations (page 37 of 53) for table and hours per location.
4) Do you want us to provide a cost for Rodent Bait Stations in case it is necessary to install or replace the existing ones? There is no clin to provide pricing for rodent bait stations.
Answer: Replace Section B, Schedule of Items, Page 11 with the attached page 11 to include "Rodent Stations" as CLIN 0052.The contractor may be asked to provide additional units for high areas to be placed in conjunction with already placed units. The contractor must be able to provide on demand services facilities if the need arises and ordered with approval by the Contracting Officer (CO) at the same cost submitted at the original offer.
5) Are we going to provide the service in the buildings currently under construction?
Answer: Yes, all areas listed at SOW. FS will need service prior to use by employees and visitors.
