About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document addressing site logistics and equipment specifications for a federal contracting opportunity involving UPS battery replacement work at Building 50.
The document provides critical site information for contractors preparing to deliver and install replacement batteries. The Eaton 9355-30 lighting inverter system has serial number EB094KXX03. Delivery logistics are straightforward: no loading dock is required, as batteries can be unloaded using government forklift equipment with operating hours from 8am-4pm. Batteries will be staged directly outside the UPS room by FPL, eliminating the need for contractor-provided equipment such as pallet jacks. The UPS system is located on the ground floor with only a 20-foot distance from the staging area to the installation point. No freight elevator is required, and there are no access restrictions, obstacles, narrow doorways, stairs, or protected flooring issues between the delivery point and the UPS room. Supporting photographs are provided showing the existing three-unit Eaton UPS system, internal battery modules configured in multiple cells, and battery documentation including URLA battery specifications with flat voltage ratings of 12.5-13.8V.
