About this file
This document appears to be a set of questions and answers related to a federal contract opportunity. The key details are:
The federal contract opportunity is for the delivery of a 1000 class Honda UTV to the USDA Forest Service Osceola Ranger District in Sanderson, FL. The government will accept a trade-in of a 2016 Polaris Diesel Ranger UTV. The government requires a 5-seat UTV, not a 6-seat model. Delivery is requested as soon as possible, and the government will award the contract to the responsible offeror with the lowest price technically acceptable offer. The questions address details around the trade-in vehicle, including the number of hours, mileage, and condition, as well as the requirement for a 5-seat versus 6-seat UTV. The government indicates the trade-in vehicle can be inspected with two days advance notice.

Questions:
Received 7/18/2024
1. I forgot to ask a few questions about the trade-in 2016 Polaris Ranger Diesel. Is the amount of hours on the unit known? Miles are 1370. And I assume it is in good running condition, no known issues? In good running condition
Answer: Miles are 1370. The UTV is in good running condition
2. I wanted to clarify that the request is actually for the 5-seat UTV, and not the 6-seat UTV. Honda makes both, and both machines satisfy all other spec requirements, except the 5-seat does not have a
"Hard rear panel - separating cargo area from passenger compartment" and to fit 5 people in the UTV, there would be no dump bed. See pictures below.
The 6-seat UTV would fit 6 people safely with seatbelts while still having full functionality of the dump bed. The 6-seat also fits the specs listed in the contract spec sheet. This 6-seat machine is more closely resembling the 2016 Polaris Ranger that is being replaced.
Answer: The requirement is for a 5 seater.
3, Is there an appointment scheduled for viewing or are we able to inspect the trade vehicle prior to quote?
Answer: Can be available when needed, Two days in advance notice is required.
