About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a USDA Forest Service (USDA FS) solicitation, containing six key questions and responses about a construction project. The key details include: a bid bond is required (clarified in Amendment 0001), the project is subject to Davis-Bacon wage rates, and no additional site visits will be held after the initial visit on the 6th. Potential bidders are cautioned that submitting an offer without attending the site visit carries inherent risks, and change order requests will be scrutinized. The specification allows for design span products, but they must meet the listed specifications, and bidders are responsible for confirming specific project details like roof slope.

However, Offeror's should be cautioned that there is an inherent risk of providing a quote without seeing the current conditions. Change Order requests will be scrutinized, and any item that could have been inferred by attending the site visit will be denied. Another site visit will not be held.

3 Is this a prevailing wage job? Yes, this project is subject to Davis-Bacon wage rates as listed in Attachment 3.

4 Are there additional opportunities to visit the site? No, an additional site visit will not be held.

The specification seems odd. Would you accept design span? Brands/products listed as a basis of design are not require to be used. However any product to be accepted must meet the spefications listed.

Do you know the roof slope(s) on this project? Is it 5:12? The slope of the roof varies, it is the responsibility of the bidder to measure and confirm.
