This is a Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items (SF 1449) and related amendments for the purchase of multiple new snowmobiles by the USDA Forest Service, Region 4 Utah Acquisition Support Center.

The solicitation (1240LR26Q0004) seeks various snowmobile purchases across multiple Forest Service locations with a total award amount of $70,223.00. The contract is firm-fixed-price with a performance period from April 9, 2026 to June 30, 2026, and delivery required by September 30, 2026. The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside with NAICS code 336999 (all other transportation equipment manufacturing). The contractor is Weller Recreation Inc. Multiple items are specified across different Forest Service locations including Caribou-Targhee National Forest (Idaho Falls), Sawtooth National Forest (Jerome), Payette National Forest (Boise), Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest (Salt Lake City), and Evanston-Mt. View Ranger District (Wyoming). Snowmobile specifications vary by location but generally require 2-stroke or 4-stroke fuel-injected engines with water cooling, track dimensions of approximately 154-155" length by 15" width, suspension travel of 8-16", and accessories such as windshields, heated grips, and cargo capacity. Some orders include trade-in allowances for existing snowmobiles. Unit prices range from approximately $9,045 to $14,650 per snowmobile. The contract incorporates FAR clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 regarding commercial items, with standard government contract terms and conditions including equal opportunity, labor standards, and various compliance requirements. Invoices must be submitted electronically through the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP). An amendment dated March 6, 2026 extended the bid due date to March 31, 2026 and updated specifications for track size on certain items.
