About this file

This is a federal contract award notice for the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest's Willow Creek Trail Bridge Replacement project. The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service awarded a firm-fixed-price contract to Wheeler Lumber LLC for $73,500.00, effective 04/11/2025, to supply and deliver a 45' by 6' prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge. The bridge specifications include a half-through underhung geometry with parallel chords and Pratt diagonals, meeting the Carson Ranger District's requirements.

The contract period of performance is from 04/11/2025 through 10/31/2025, with delivery to be made to the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest Supervisor's Office in Sparks, Nevada. The solicitation was set aside as 100% for small businesses, specifically noting a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) set-aside. The bridge is to be delivered in two sections and requires specific design and treatment considerations, including weathering steel construction, wood deck planks, and compliance with forest service trail bridge specifications.
