Questions and Answers- 1240LP22Q0008- Seedling Shipment Solicitation Does the Technical proposal have to be in a certain format?

No, the past performance questionnaire is preferred but not mandatory, just provide all the information that is required in the instruction to offerors found on page 18

I am unable to see the SF-30 in SAMS to complete. Do I need to request a certain role for this?

No role is needed to request, no SF-30 amendments have been issued at this time so you won’t see SF-30 but continue to check the www.sam.gov for any updates that might happen before the solicitation closes.

Does estimated mileage include Empty Load miles?

Yes this is round trip and no return loads are allowed on our trailer.

How many loads it is per destination, some show 1 load and the others weren't specified?

There are multiple stops with certain loads, but whether or not there are multiple destinations it is all one trailer load.

Is this opportunity open to brokers?

Yes

Q1: We understand that the USG will provide a 48 ft refer trailer, and the USG will cover any emergency repairs. Can you expand on what "emergency repairs" includes? Repairs to trailer such as the tire needs to be replaced. Contact the COR and have them use the Fleet card to pay for the tire repair. Prices will need to be known before any work is done.

Q2: Are there any forms or standard operating procedures we should be aware of or have on hand in case any emergency repairs (especially to the refrigeration system) are needed while en route? If the system goes down we will have it repaired at a nearby shop using the government fleet card. Prices will need to be known before any work is done.

Q3: We have a standard inspection that we perform on all our vehicles and equipment prior to transportation. If our transportation specialists find any needs, routine/urgent maintenance, for the trailer- what is the process to get this completed or performed by the Government or otherwise? Trailer will need to be taken to service shop and repaired, getting an estimate first, then using the fleet card to pay for the repairs.
