About this file
This document contains an amendment to a solicitation for thinning services on the Tongass and Chugach National Forests in Alaska. The amendment provides answers to questions from prospective offerors to clarify the scope of work. Services include thinning, pruning, slash treatment, and mechanical thinning. While there are currently no opportunities on specific districts mentioned, the contract allows for future task orders across Region 10. Offerors may choose to bid on some or all projects, and periods of performance are negotiable. The government will not reject contractors who are unable to accept specific task orders. No site visits, abstracts of similar work, or price ranges are provided, but offerors should submit their best pricing per project. The amendment aims to address offeror questions and clarify requirements for the underlying solicitation for thinning services.
