Installation Questions Mt. Snoqualmie National Forest

04/08/2024

• How many stories on each Bldg.? Most are single story however I believe one unit has a second story.

• How Far apart is each Location? The Forest is very large. The towns that are closest to the locations are Glacier, Concrete (two different locations about 30 miles apart), Darrington, Skykomish and North Bend. The bunkhouses at each location provided in the table are within 5 miles from the addresses provided to "meet for Instructions" .

• Will the buildings be occupied?

o If they are occupied, is there any way to temporarily place personal in another building while install happens? Yes, the seasonal employees are living in the house’s but we can coordinate when you arrive and make sure there is someone to meet you.

o What is the estimated occupancy rate during the requested time of install?

The bunkhouse at Komo (concrete) has 14 people living in it. The rest of the house’s have 1-6 people.

• What is the Mattress being place onto, platform bed or another box spring? A box spring.

• Will installer need to put the Protective Covers onto the mattress? No

• Will there be Removal & Disposal of furniture, can you provide a location within proximity of the Bldg that can be used for disposal? Mattresses can be disposed of at the nearest dump. Contractor is responsible for verifying which dumps will take mattresses, fees, and if any licensing or certifications will be needed to dump at these locations. Some dumps require proof of residency in their county. Dump locations provided below.

• If a dumpster is required to be included in our installation services, can I get a clear understanding of placement, to the closest proximity to building(s). We prefer not to order a dumpster. A truck/trailer will need to be used.

• Would there be storage on site for installer use?

o If so, can I get a clear understanding of proximity to building requiring installation. Most house’s have a garage or carport o If not, can I get a clear understanding of placement, closest to the proximity to building(s). Would like them placed in the rooms on the existing box springs.

• What are the delivery hours? 8-4:30

• Is there unencumbered access for a 53’ trailer to deliver product?

o If not, provide a location of where the delivery truck can park during unloading, at a location closest to building. Trucks can park at the houses except for the Glacier, WA location. In Glacier they can park at the Glacier Public Service Center.

• What are the allowable hours of installation (example 7AM – 8PM)? If we have proper notification (at least 2 days notice) we can arrange delivery hours between 8am-7pm.

• Are the installers able to have full access to elevators or to stairs only? No elevators – Stairs only

• Are Installers required to disassemble existing items? They would be required to remove the old mattresses and place the new mattresses.

• Is there a required time to start this project? The sooner the better (before fire season when employees are gone). Prior to June 1st.

• Is there a required time frame to have work completed within? No

• Will any product be mounted into the wall? NO o If so, what material are the walls made of? NA

• For delivery and installation purposes, it seems that these are going into houses. Would you be able to give the exact address of the building where the removal and install will take place? I know there may not be an address, maybe longitude/latitudes, or maybe you have a map showing roads on it? Or are the houses within a mile of the meet up address at each location? In order to price delivery, the freight company needs to price the right size trucks for the terrain, determine how many men they will need and determine if they can do it all in one day with one truck or a few trucks etc. The delivery, installation and deinstall are really primary here to a company that will give you the full service. Addresses are below with specifications

2. What is the terrain like? Paved, gravel? What is the max size truck you think can safely maneuver around these locations? Can the trucks back up to the houses? Mixed

3. Are the buildings all one level? If multiple levels, how many floors would we be carrying products, up and down to? Darrington my have a second story that you could carry mattresses up to rooms all other housed are one story.
