SECTION C—DESCRIPTION /SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK

C-1 DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This contract involves the pumping of septic waste material from various Forest Service remote locations.

The septic vault sizes at the remote locations vary. All septic vaults are accessible via gravel or asphalt roads/parking lots. The septic vaults system at Smith Creek Picnic Area was originally designed as a composting system. These compositing systems are no longer maintained or managed as composting systems, they are simply holding vaults for septic waste, with some sort of a drain line. Therefore, the composting systems will also have less water substance in the septic waste, when compared to the septic waste in the vaulted systems at the other locations.

The scheduling for septic waste pumping will occur following an “as needed” process which is described below.

It is currently assumed that septic waste pumping at any given site, snow levels permitting, will occur during the following months:

- May, 2021

- June, 2021

- July, 2021

- August, 2021

- September, 2021

- October, 2021

- November, 2021

- December, 2021

- April, 2022

- May, 2022

- June, 2022

The bidding contractor must bid all Base Items and Optional Items to be considered for award.
