Is there a layout or plan for the units being requested? Please see attached pictures that illustrate the layout we are currently using.
What would the spacing need to be between each plant if you want to grow 8000 plants? Your farm suites will have to have the capability to accommodate 8000 plants.
Do all containers look identical or is the layout different? Each scientist determines their customized layout. See attached pictures that illustrate the current layout we are using.
Do you want NFT and Flood and drain in the same container? Yes
What crops do you plan to grow? This is research specific and each scientist will make this determination.
In the suite, do you want 4 containers side by side or do you want a vestibule or clean room off of each container? Side by side (Clam shelled together)
Are (40’ x 8” x 9’6”) Aluminum, refrigerated units acceptable? Acceptable, as long as they are also insulated and meet the remaining specificatios.
What components are required to work with the current software? You will need to reach out to the software company. We are the end-users of the product.
Does the current software have open architecture to allow connectivity and programing of the additional units purchased? As we understand it, it is not an open-sourced program. You will have to speak with the company regarding usage rights. This what is what we currently utilize now and all existing and new “Farm Suites” will have to communicate with each other.
Whose responsibility is it to connect new systems to existing software? Bidders will have to collaborate with the AmpEdge Software Company.
Will delivery delays be acceptable due to supply chain issues if they were to arise. Our requirement is delivery in 30 days. Potential and reasonable delays will be considered. Our projects are increasing and we must be Shovel Ready as soon as possible.
