About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation 123A9425Q0015 for Shipping Containers issued by the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The Q&A covers key details about a procurement for Sonoco Thermosafe shipping containers to be delivered to two laboratory locations: the Eastern Laboratory in Athens, GA, and the Western Laboratory in Albany, CA. Specific products include Extra Small Containers, Small Containers, Large Containers, Container Overwraps, Thermoformed Liners, Corrugated Spacer Pads, Absorbent Pads, and Hard Gel Packs, with varying quantities for each location.

The document clarifies several vendor questions, including confirmation that only Sonoco Thermosafe products are acceptable, instructions to provide separate shipping cost line items, and the exact delivery addresses for both laboratory sites. No future Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) or Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts are confirmed at this time. The Eastern Lab order includes 336 Extra Small Containers, 2000 Small Container Overwraps, 150 Large Thermoformed Liners, 10000 Corrugated Spacer Pads, 5000 8-Ply Absorbent Pads, and 3456 Hard Gel Packs. The Western Lab order includes 600 Small Containers, 360 Large Containers, and 500 Extra Small Container Overwraps.
