Questions and Answers for Solicitation #123A9423Q0005

1. What is the desired quantities or estimates for 1 years use for each individual size (S, M, L, &

XL)? This will help me provide the most accurate pricing.

A1: In FY22, FSIS purchased the following quantities of gloves through 4 orders:

Extra-large – 5,793 Cases Large – 726 Cases Medium – 3,063 Cases Small – 2 Cases

2. What would be the minimum cases ordered at one time?

A2: Gloves are purchased on an as needed basis in differing quantities due to varying demand and limited warehouse space.

3. In the solicitation it reflected the unit of issue as CS, I am assuming this represents case?

A3: The abbreviation CS represents “case” as the unit of issue. A case includes 10 boxes. A box includes 50 gloves.

4. Quantity per year or minimum order per year.

A4: Please refer to question two.

5. Is there a quantity usage for last year?

A5: Please refer to question one.

6. We just wanted to confirm that Sol.#123A9423Q0005, Micro-flex Safe-grip glove, is a "Sole-Source" opportunity only?

A6: This is not a sole source opportunity. The requirement is being competed amongst vendors that can provide Microflex Safegrip Gloves.

7. In the Safegrip Brand name pdf attachment, in section 3 it states, “FSIS has a need for SafeGrip Goves, model number SG-375 in sizes extra small, small, medium, large, and extra-large.”

However, in the contract, extra small is not included in the sizes listed. Will you please verify only small, medium, large, and extra-large are required for delivery in this contract?

A7: This requirement is for sizes small, medium, large, and extra large.

8. What is the estimated annual volume?

A8: Please refer to question one.

9. How big will the average order be?

A9: Please refer to question two.

10. What is the estimated order frequency?

A10: Please refer to question two.

11. Can you inform me as to when you anticipate to award this opportunity?

A11: FSIS anticipates to award this no later than April 15th, 2023.

12. I understand this is a Firm Fixed Price contract but wanted to confirm this contract will not allow for an EPA each year if fully justified and documented.

A12: EPA will not be contemplated as part of this solicitation.

13. Is this product to be delivered tax free or is MD 6% tax to be included?

A13: This will be delivered tax free.

14. Please confirm "CS" represents cases of 10 boxes of 50ea gloves.

A14: Please refer to question three.

15. What size (# of cases) and frequency of the orders are to be expected?

A15: Please refer to questions one and two.

16. Are there limitations or special circumstances required to execute a delivery (e.g. special badging, going through security)?

A16: The FSIS product number needs to be on all cases, and pallet sizes must be no bigger than 48” x 40” pallets, and no taller than 59 inches.

17. Does a typical delivery service such as UPS, FEDEX, USPS have access to execute the delivery?

A17: Yes.
