About this file
This document summarizes pre-bid meeting notes and a federal contract opportunity solicitation for stewardship services on the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest in Colorado. The pre-bid meeting notes review contract provisions including road decommissioning, snow removal, normal operating seasons, utilization standards, stump heights, closures, and evaluation criteria. Bidders asked questions about requirements for chipping slash, stump removal, holidays, estimated timber volumes, bonds, and wage determinations. The related federal contract opportunity solicitation seeks proposals for a stewardship contract to treat 247 acres through timber cutting, skidding, piling, thinning, and road decommissioning. An estimated 418 CCF of sawtimber is included. The contract will be awarded using best value and must be completed by October 2024. The Department of Agriculture Forest Service is the contracting agency.
