Replace Barn Roof, El Reno, OK Remove and Replace Roof to Riding Barn Q&A from Second Site Visit, Mar 1, 2018, not covered by 1st site visit

Q&As:

Q: Vendor didn’t find an SF1449:

A: Use the SF18

Q: Color of rake edge?

A: Panels are Galvalume. Rake edge shall be a comparable color.

Q: What standards are required for the rake edge?

A: Industrial standards to cover the fascia boards

Q: Kind of panels?

A: R panels.

Q: Are ridge caps fabricated to match the pitch of the roof?

A: Yes

Q: Have the roof panels, ridge caps and hardware been stored?

A: Yes, everything is on a trailer and has been in storage until recently.

Q: Has the material been rained on?

A: Yes, there has been less than 2” of rain since the materials were pulled out of storage.

Q: Will contractor be able to locate disposal dumpsters nearby?

A: Yes

Q: What is the length of the rafters?

A: Unsure, Sheet metal consists of two 24-foot panels that cover top to bottom. Amount of overlap is unknown.

Q: What is the length of the building?

A: Approximately 180 feet x 80 feet.

Q: Does anything need to be done to the ‘wings’?

A: No, They are not part of the SOW.

Q: Are existing panels nailed or screwed?

A: Most are nailed. Some are screwed.

Q: Is an underlayment required?

A: No.

Q: Is a security fence required?

A: The Government erect one up, if necessary.
