Experimental Proptec Sprayer

The USDA ARS has been working with an aging protect sprayer at the Ft. Pierce farm that is in need of replacement. We have worked out a design for a replacement model, experimental, to be employed as the tree crops sprayer on the Picos Rd farm. The new sprayer must meet the following specifications and have the specified onsite support.

1. Sprayer Specifications:

a. PROPTEC P-800 LV/ULV SPRAYER;

b. Trailer with tandem axle, 500 gallon poly tank, 540 PTO with gear box;

c. 14’ Maximum horizontal boom height, adjustable down to 6’

2. RATE CONTROL SYSTEM:

a. Mid Tech 6100 Rate Controller GPS enabled;

b. 30 degree angle at boom end

3. FANS: STANDARD: GENUINE PROPTEC™ PT100 AIR-ASSISTED ROTARY ATOMIZERS, 4 PER SIDE

a. Genuine Curtec 48” Cross Flow Fans (1 per side);

b. Curtec fans with adjustable angle in two separate planes;

c. Proptec fans adjustable in two planes

4. HYDRAULIC POWER SYSTEM: ULTRA-HIGH EFFICIENCY PUMPS, OIL COOLED, POWERED BY TRACTOR PTO. REQUIRES 55 PTO HORSEPOWER, RECOMMEND 75+ HP TRACTOR

5. AGITATION PUMP:

a. PACER PUMP;

b. HYDRAULICALLY DRIVEN;

c. SPARGER AGITATION.

6. CHEMICAL DELIVERY SYSTEM:

a. Pressure base metering system;

b. Tee Jet valves.

7. Delivered to Picos Road farm 10001 Picos Rd, Ft. Pierce, Fl, 34945

8. ON-SITE SET UP

9. ON-SITE TRAINING

10. ON-SITE TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SERVICE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR BIANNUAL INSPECTION AND CALIBRATION
