About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for USDA Solicitation 1232SA26Q0231, which addresses clarifications on a grounds maintenance contract.
The solicitation involves biweekly maintenance of highlighted acreage with specific performance standards including 6-foot branch clearance, 5-foot shrub height, and 2-foot pond edge standards. "Volunteers," as defined in the contract, are unwanted seedlings or root suckers growing around tree bases or inside hedges that must be removed. For herbicide application, contractors may use products containing glyphosate, glufosinate-ammonium, or diquat dibromide as active ingredients, which comply with USDA standards. However, herbicides containing tricloryr, paraquat, or dicamba are prohibited. The vegetative debris disposal pit location will be formally identified prior to performance start. Inspection and acceptance procedures will be conducted by USDA field staff, with Ms. Agurto, the Location Administrative Officer, being notified if contractual parameters are not met. No post-award submittals are currently required, and no additional site visits beyond the initial one will be provided. Contractors should base their quotes on the current Statement of Work posted with the solicitation, as previous scope information will not be shared. Information regarding any incumbent contractor can be researched through www.fpds.gov or www.sam.gov.
