About this file

The document is a Question and Answer file for Solicitation 1232SA25Q0192, a USDA Agricultural Research Service procurement for swine feed in Clay Center, NE. The specific Q&A addresses a vendor inquiry about delivery of United 40LT Premix, with USDA clarifying that the 18-ton premix must be delivered in bulk quantities and cannot be accepted in bagged packaging.

The associated solicitation seeks a firm fixed-price purchase order for swine feed, with a small business size standard of 650 employees under NAICS Code 311119. Vendors must submit quotes via email to Jennifer Busbea, including a transmittal summary letter, point of contact information, UEI number, CAGE code, tax ID, pricing details, and a completed Buy American Certificate. The government will evaluate quotes using a lowest price technically acceptable methodology, with quotes required to be valid for 90 days and submission contingent on active SAM.gov registration.

Questions from the Industry

1232SA25Q0192

Question:

We would like to request clarification on one specific line item:

United 40LT Premix – 18 tons (delivered in bulk quantities) Due to logistical and production constraints, bulk delivery of this premix may not be feasible. Would USDA consider bagged packaging as an acceptable alternative for this line item?

Response:

We do not have the ability to receive the United 40 LT in bags. It must be in bulk.
