Statement of Work (SOW) Project: Wintersteiger Delta Field Plot Combine Maintenance
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: The USDA-ARS, Soil Management Research Unit seeks maintenance and service for Wintersteiger Delta field plot combine. The contract will include preventative maintenance and repairs using original Wintersteiger parts and meet all technical requirements below.
2.0 Background: The USDA-ARS Soil Management Unit conducts research on novel year-round cropping systems that combine conventional and alternative agricultural practices to achieve net-zero agriculture. The plot combine is used to harvest and collect samples for mission critical research.
Alternative and conventional seed crops are important components to diversifying and intensifying agronomic crop rotations. To be able to successfully complete cropping systems research, a small-plot, research combine is required. This equipment will allow individual plots to be harvested for yield analysis, data to be collected on seed moisture and test weight, and sub-samples to be taken for additional analysis. This equipment is essential for mission critical research and needs to be serviced by a qualified service technician to maintain proper working condition.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:
1. Provide maintenance and service for Wintersteiger Delta plot combine including parts and labor but not limited to the following:
· Fuel main filter
· Oil filter
· Air filter main element
· Suction filter insert
2. Replace original manufactured parts with equal or better parts.
3. Inspect and certify that the equipment is working properly.
4.0 Government Furnished: Not applicable.
5.0 Deliverables / Schedule: Delivery of parts should be scheduled with local personnel prior to shipment. Parts should be delivered to:
