The purpose of Amendment 0001 to solicitation 1232SA22Q0006 is to provide Government responses to Contractor questions. All other terms and conditions remain applicable and unchanged. The quote due date remains Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

Except as provided herein, all terms and conditions of the document referenced in Item 9 A or 10A, as heretofore changed, remains unchanged and in full force and effect .

Question 1: We are hoping to find out if there is (was) an incumbent contractor performing these services, or if this is a brand-new contract. If there is an incumbent, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

Answer 1: This is a new service and there is no incumbent contractor.

Question 2: I was reaching out to see if there were any drawings of the construction plans. I do see the building location in the attachment. Could you advise if these are available?

Answer 2: Any blueprints we have were included in the contract request for quote.

Question 3: We have a couple questions per Blueprint Visio attachment.

Contractor will install 2 data/LAN ports in each workstation/office total of 338.

-2 data/ 2 lan= 4 drops per workstation/office?

For above question per phase 1 asks for 40 drops. With 8 cubicles (32x), 3 offices (12x), and 1

Lab (4) = (48) drops

Per the scope of this project, are drops firm in count (40) or be adjusted as per allocation (48)?

Answer 3: See attached spreadsheet for a listing of all required drops.

Question 4 (Follow-up to question 3): For above question per phase 1 asks for 40 drops. With

8 cubicles (32x), 2 offices (8x), and 1 Lab (4) = (44) drops...

Which locations will not receive drops (5219 or 5220)? There are 4 open offices, 3 offices have cubes.

Answer 4: All cubicles/desks will need the drops and an ethernet cable.

Question 5: Are we going to remove all old existing cables from the ceilings and patch panels or the cables will be abandoned in the ceilings and patch panels?

Answer 5: The contractor shall remove the old cables and patch panels.

Question 6: Are the new patch panels for the new drops will be mount on the existing old racks where all existing cables are right now?

Answer 6: The new patch panels will need to go where the cubicles are going to located after the renovation. There will be some major changes to the floorplans, so the existing racks may not be able to be used.

Question 7: Is the new cables will be the same color of the existing cables to match? Or different color of cable will be install to be easy to ID the new drops?

Answer 7: The old cables shall be removed.

Question 8: Are there existing patch panels to be utilized, or is the contractor responsible for supplying any necessary patch panels?

Answer 8: The contractor shall provide all new cabling and shall provide any required patch panels.

Question 9: Will the contractor be responsible for any demolition or removal of old cabling?

Answer 9: Yes.

Question 10: Is the designated pathway to the cubicles dropping down from the ceiling or coming up from the floor?

Answer 10: The ceiling.

Question 11: Is there an existing cable tray in the ceiling that can be utilized, or will the contractor be responsible for installing new pathways or J-Hooks?

Answer 11: There are existing cable trays. However, the condition is unknown and the contractor shall not assume they are usable.

Question 12: If holes in the walls need to be made or modified, do we need to obtain architectural/engineering/historical reviews?

Answer 12: No reviews will be needed. The space will undergo a major renovation.

Question 13: Can we demo old cables first? Before new cables are run ? will someone be available to identify cables to be demolished?

Answer 13: There will be building IT staff available to help identify the cables to be removed.

The order of demolition/installation is up to the contractor.

Question 14: Is there a timetable for employees to return/ occupy offices? Lag time between construction/ remodel and employee return?

Answer 14: None that will impact this contract.

Question 15: Will the offices be occupied during the new cable install?

Answer 15: No

Question 16: If asbestos is found who does abatement?

Answer 16: Asbestos abatement is being handled by the South Building facilities staff and is no longer present in this space.

Question 17: Is surface mount conduit / Panduit style required?

Answer 17: Cabling will come from ceiling and be hidden.

Question 18: Can you provide a furniture plan or break out of how many drops per room?

Answer 18: The break out of how many drops per room has been provided. A furniture plan will be provided at a later date to the awardee.

Question 19: Are we dropping the Cat6 to just the face plate? Or, are we required to provide patch cables from the face plate to the desks within the office spaces?

Answer 19: Cables are to be run to the desks.

Question 20: We intend to provide patch panels and cable management. Are the switches and racks/rack space government furnished?

Answer 20: Switches and racks shall be provided by the contractor.

Question 21: What standard are we to follow (i.e. BICSI/ANSI)?

Answer 21: ANSI
