Question # Attachment Section or
Paragraph Page
# Description / Question / Comment
1 Is there a template/format that you require in bids submitted? Perhaps a sample we can follow? Or do we address each section in a letter to you?
1A Please follow instructions to offers section, it will outline how to respond.
2 Re: dining, are real plates/cups/glasses/utensils required or is plastic/paper OK?
2A Real plates, and utensils are preferred when dining in the Cafeteria. Eating out in the field or to go meals (Sack meals) plastic and paper are acceptable.
3 Do you have an established list of caterers that meet with USFS/Federal approval in Southern California that we can query?
3A We don’t have a list, but standards qualifications as listed in the RFP will apply.
4 Re: IT, do you require any documentation of equipment or just the checking of the box that we have internet?
4A We would like documentation of equipment clarifying either hardwire or wireless internet connections per classroom. Additionally, documentation of internet speeds to verify ability to support multiple users.
5 We were told this would be an 8 week program to start, a pilot program, that then turns into 4 months in future years. Is the pricing you are looking for for 8 weeks or for 4 months?
5A Pricing for the pilot delivery would be for 8 weeks. The Optional periods would be for the 4 months.
6 Section: 5.0 re: Government Furnished “This contract vehicle shall not furnish any government equipment or property.” Does this mean federal government equipment and property? We are
Caring for the Land and Serving People 1 a local government entity.
6A The Federal Government (as in the Forest Service) will not provide any equipment. All supplies and services will be provided by the contractor.
7 Our staff had one more question, in the line items form, there is no line item for our staff hours that will be needed. Where do we incorporate that?
7A There is no need to provide staff hours; prices are requested only for items listed in the Schedule of Items.
8 When booking for this event, what is your time frame on letting the property know that you are looking to have the session on specific dates?
8A Our intent is to provide you as much time as possible prior to the event. We would reach out to you to make sure of your availability prior to contacting our contracting folks to request a task order be submitted.
9 3.4 in the SOW, can you explain this a bit more, especially the helicopter portion. We are a bit confused on if you are wanting the helicopter to land at the hotel they would stay at.
9A The Helicopter would not be expected to land at a hotel. We are expecting the helicopter to land at a space designated and approved by both you and our team in accordance with the IRPG.
10 Also, can you explain your expectations on the lodging facility for this group. Are you wanting it to be a traditional hotel, something more outdoors, like a campsite?
10A The helicopter and the crew are usually contracted therefore would be responsible for their own lodging and food.
11 I have a question regarding the above referenced provision (52.204-29 Federal Acquisition Supply Chain Security Act Orders—Representation and Disclosures) . The package references it as a required certification along with others.
“Representations and Certifications – Fill in the check boxes for provisions 52.204-24, 52.204-29, 52.209-7, and 52.212-3.” However, the package did not include it like it did for the others.
11A Pacific Southwest Satellite Delivery Solicitation 12318724R0003 Amendment 0001 was issued on 7/29/2024 to remove FAR 52.204-29 and replace with FAR 52.204-26.
