The contract opportunity is a solicitation (RFQ) from the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Northeast Area for upgrades to the existing ABE software and application. The work can be performed remotely, and there is no transition period or backlog of work required. The contractor would not be solely responsible for updates and fixes, as there are 3 USDA staff members who work on different parts of the ABE system. Infrastructure management is handled by USDA staff, and the contractor would not provide Tier 1 support. The plant data and geocodes are already established.
