LAWN CARE SERVICES RFI QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Can you please provide clarification for the period of performance? The section below in the solicitation provides a possible two year period.
“6. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: An award is contemplated for a one-year period and one option period (if exercised).”
However, this section below and the price sheet refers to and/or provides information for a possible 5 year period:
AGAR 452.211-74 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE (FEB 1988)
The period of performance for this contract is for one(1) year, beginning from the contract start date. And four(4) optional year periods (if exercised).
Answer: Period of performance is 1 year for now. In the future the Gov’t will have a choice if they want to exercise any future option years. Number 6 should say “An award is contemplated for a one-year period and four optional year periods (if exercised).
2. Should we only bid out the base and one option period, or the 5 years provided on the bid sheet?
Answer: You need to submit a price for all 5 years on the price sheet.
3. I know that it says 5 plus acres, but do you have a more exact number of how many acres need services?
Answer: Our facility (USDA) resides on the campus of the Leetown Science Center (USGS). As per verbal agreement between our two agencies, the property area of responsibility for us varies within these boundaries. It is a known 5 acres but does not exceed 5.5 acres.
