Questions and Answers #1
1. Can you provide more information about the mounting option for the robot?
ANSWER: The robot will have a sensor supporting structure for the camera. It is expected that the camera can have flexible mounting options, so that a custom adapter can be simply designed and manufactured to quickly attach the camera with the robot.
2. Are there any software requirements to interface with the robot?
ANSWER: The camera needs to come with APIs and/or SDKs compatible with latest Windows and Linux (specifically Ubuntu 20.04 or later) operating systems, so custom computer programs can be developed and integrated with our robot systems. In addition, it is preferred that the camera uses USB3 or GigaE interfaces over camera links for simple hardware integration.
3. How big is the tray the customer wants to scan?
ANSWER: Approx 10” x 12”
4. Is there a required working distance?
ANSWER: There is no noticeable requirement for the minimal working distance as long as the optics can be focused with samples, but the maximal working distance should not exceed 350 mm.
5. I noticed in 12305B21Q0094, did you mean to say a sensor comparable to the Specim V10E?
ANSWER: SPECIM V10E is the spectrograph to be used in the hyperspectral camera. The camera model is MSV-500 which uses an sCMOS camera (Andor Zyla
5.5 or comparable models). For our applications, the expected spatial resolution is at micrometer, the spectral resolution is at 1 to 2 nm, and spectral sampling resolution can be as high as possible. The lens optics needs to be customizable and reconfigurable to adapt for various applications.
