1224H819Q0001 ALNF Lite Trail Maintenance IDIQ Q&A-2 03/06/2019

1. Prevailing Wage requirements?

The DOL Service Contract Act Wage Determinations apply to all work under the awarded contract.

2. Insurance requirements?

Contractors shall carry insurance under the following circumstances:

(a) (1) The Government requires any contractor subject to Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) 416 (48 CFR 9004.416 (Appendix, FAR loose-leaf edition)) to obtain insurance, by purchase or self-coverage, for the perils to which the contractor is exposed.

(2) The Government reserves the right to disapprove the purchase of any insurance coverage not in the Government’s interest.

(3) Allowability of the insurance program’s cost shall be determined in accordance with the criteria in 31.205-19.

(b) Contractors, whether or not their contracts are subject to CAS 416, are required by law and this regulation to provide insurance for certain types of perils (e.g., workers’ compensation). Insurance is mandatory also when commingling of property, type of operation, circumstances of ownership, or condition of the contract make it necessary for the protection of the Government.

3. Workmen's Compensation requirements?

This is a requirement under the applicable SCA Wage Determination included in the awarded contract.

4. Can I bid on just the Timberline and Willow Creek light trail maintenance?

“Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer),” Based on the solicitation the short answer to your question is yes you can bid on only the work you want to do and if your proposal is more advantageous to the government I “MAY” make an award to you on your offer.

5. Schedule of items - The map shows the trails at one length but the schedule is for a completely different length? IE "Penoke bike trail"(A)=112 miles in the schedule but on the map its 23.1 miles. Can you explain?

The respective mileage is 23.1 for Penoke, 15 for Marienville and 39 for Timberline.
